The tradition continues… come Walk Off your Wobble with us the day after Thanksgiving. Take the short and easy hike to the top of our hill which is 868 feet high. Make it to the top and we reward you with chocolate truffles!
Once there, you’ll look back across our 39,000 grapevines and have the chance to admire the view which includes the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Short Hill Mountains. Pick up a ticket and head back down to our Tasting Room for a complimentary box of house-made chocolate truffles as your reward for your hike.
Leave the malls to the crazy people and come have a civilized afternoon of wine, chocolate and a chance to walk off your Thanksgiving wobble!
Join us for what has become a holiday tradition at 868 – the debut of Ellen Crosby’s newest Wine Country Mystery. We’ll have books on hand for sale and Ellen will gladly autograph them for you – or for a friend. These books, coupled with a bottle of 868 Estate wine, make a great holiday gift for the readers and wine-lovers on your gift list!
It’s harvest season at Montgomery Estate Vineyard in Atoka, Virginia and when the head winemaker at a neighboring vineyard is found dead, Lucie is once again on the case. The murdered Jean-Claude is no stranger to Lucie―he was her first crush twenty years ago when she spent a summer in France. Lucie hunts for Jean-Claude’s killer and confronts shattering secrets of her own family’s past. Will she reveal what she discovers? Or are some secrets too much to confront?
Take time this holiday season to welcome our newest art show, Vineyard Views @ 868, to the Tasting Room. This collective show features local artists from the Loudoun Sketch Club and their works from plein air painting at vineyards throughout Loudoun County.
All are welcome to Meet the Artists at this reception celebrating their talent and the delightful works in our Tasting Room.
Slow down, take a moment to enjoy the season and bring a friend to share in this festive meal at The Vine.
December is my favorite month in France! Throughout the country, the markets are full of traditional foods that celebrate the season… and Paris, the City of Lights, twinkles even more than usual with holiday lights up and down the boulevards.
Tonight, we’ll be drinking wines from three of France’s most iconic regions – Burgundy, Bordeaux and Beaujolais – paired with a special meal from Chef Author. Bordeaux is famous for its blends; Burgundy is better known for its single varietals and Beaujolais is the home of the fun, fruity wine known as Beaujolais Nouveau. We’ll try a superb example of each of these and enjoy a festive evening in the cozy warmth of Grandale.
Tickets are $55/pp and include four wines and a farm to fork meal from Grandale’s Chef Author.
The Vine is a monthly women’s wine dinner served at 868 Estate Vineyards. Four courses, four wines, door prizes and more! Join us in the welcoming environment of Grandale to drink carefully selected wines, eat wonderful food and enjoy the company of lively women. Event tickets are non- refundable. Gratuity not included.
